EOWCFC Chapter 28 – Surrounded? What’s the plan?!

Xiao Ziling and Chu Zhitian put a distance of 100 meters between them, and then proceeded to the coastline at the same time.

    “Brother Chu, I still didn’t find it.” Xiao Ziling carefully checked the surroundings and carefully observed whether the mental barrier was abnormal and would contact Chu Zhitian every once in a while.

He should be able to find a solution, but if there were a few more zombies, it would truly endanger him, and he would have to be evacuated.

    Chu Zhitian estimated Xiao Ziling’s combat effectiveness, then relaxed and dealt with the zombies in front of him with peace of mind.     Within his spiritual eyes, the zombies appeared scattered and relatively open to attacks. That was good news for Xiao Ziling. After all, the zombies did not know that Xiao Ziling could actually see the scene behind the obstruction, so they did not choose to attack immediately. They wanted to patiently wait just like before: wait for the food to spring their trap and fall into their encirclement.

    Xiao Ziling took a few steps forward slowly, quietly holding the Tang knife’s hilt behind his waist with his right hand, silently counting down in his heart: 3, 2, 1!

    As soon as he counted to 1, Xiao Ziling descended like a tiger, and rushed to the nearest container like a hurricane. The zombies behind the container had their heads chopped off of their necks by Xiao Ziling before they could react. Two of the remaining zombies finally reacted, and when they wanted to howl and attack, the sharp light of Xiao Ziling’s Tang knife had already slashed horizontally.

    Xiao Ziling did not pause to see the result. Without hesitation, he then rushed to the next container. When he cut with the Tang knife again, he heard the sound of several falling objects, and the ground was splashed with the remnants. In a blur, two zombies were consecutively beheaded and fell to the ground at the same time.

    In fact, in only two or three seconds, Xiao Ziling had resolved the three zombies. As long as he was not caught in a heavy siege, un-evolved zombies like these did not possess the capability to put any pressure on Xiao Ziling. The only thing he had to do now was to try to clean up as many zombies as possible before the zombies reacted. Even if the zombies successfully surrounded him in the end, the number would have been reduced to a minimum, and would at least not be enough to put him in a crisis. If he failed to complete even that much, he would have to escape before the zombies completed the encirclement.

    The Goddess of Luck loved Xiao Ziling very much, and the zombie’s reaction had undoubtedly been slow. Xiao Ziling quickly eliminated about half of the zombies. At that time, the zombies discovered the anomaly. Although the roars sounded one after another, it was too late. The remaining zombies could not complete the encirclement. Xiao Ziling had already left their circle with big gaps.

    The fighting time was not very long. In less than 10 minutes, Xiao Ziling had solved nearly 30 zombies by himself. However, there are still consequences to prolonged fighting at extreme speeds. After the battle, Xiao Ziling felt severe pain in his legs, and he could hardly move his feet. He knew that he had overdrawn his power too much, and it would be difficult to support during the next battle.

    Leaning weakly against a container, Xiao Ziling slowly sat down and took a few breaths before looking at Chu Zhitian’s place, thinking that according to Chu Zhitian’s ability to control the sky, the zombies would have been cleaned up long ago. And he would have done it so calmly that he wouldn’t have even kicked up dust.

    Sure enough, at the moment Xiao Ziling considered it, there were almost no zombies remaining around Chu Zhitian, and only four zombies were left scattered sporadically in his vicinity… Huh? Why are there any zombies left at all? Chu Zhitian didn’t use all his strength?

    Regardless of the severe pain in his legs, Xiao Ziling gritted his teeth and quickly approached Chu Zhitian, his spiritual eyes surveying Chu Zhitian’s surroundings like radar.

    I saw you, spiritual zombie! Xiao Ziling clearly saw 80 meters to Chu Zhitian’s left, a cunning zombie was hiding there, staring at Chu Zhitian intently; it was the spirit zombie who had escaped Xiao Ziling’s Tang knife earlier.

    How should he act? Should killing the spirit zombie or saving Chu Zhitian come first?

    As Xiao Ziling approached extremely quickly, he fiercely weighed these thoughts. According to the current situation, it seemed that it was better to save Chu Zhitian first. After all, there was still a chance to kill the spirit zombie afterwards; but if Chu Zhitian was really finished off, then Xiao Ziling would really be dead.
